This Privacy Policy describes how Mac Real Studios and its applications — including Strobe Light For Watch — collect, use, and share information when you use our Wear OS and mobile applications. We are committed to transparency, minimal data collection, and protecting the people who use what we build.
To provide a stable and safe experience for night runners, walkers, and active users, we use third-party services provided by Google (Firebase) that collect certain information automatically.
If the app crashes during use, we collect anonymized diagnostic data about the crash — including device model, OS version, and the specific line of code that failed. This ensures the app stays reliable during safety-critical activities.
We collect non-identifiable usage data — such as which safety modes are most used and which colors are most frequently selected. This helps us prioritize features that improve visibility and safety. No personally identifying information is attached to this data.
We may collect information about your Wear OS device type and screen resolution to ensure strobe patterns display correctly across different hardware configurations.
What we do not collect: We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any information that could personally identify you. All Firebase data is anonymized and aggregated.
The app requests specific device permissions in order to function. Here is exactly what each permission does.
Used solely to activate the physical LED flashlight on your device. We do not access the camera feed, capture photos, or record video.
Keeps the strobe or flashlight active while you are moving, preventing the screen from turning off unexpectedly during safety-critical use.
All transactions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Mac Real Studios does not collect, handle, or store credit card numbers, bank details, or any financial information. We receive only a confirmation token from Google to unlock purchased features.
Note: For billing questions or refunds, please contact Google Play support directly.
We use Firebase Remote Config to adjust app settings — such as strobe frequencies — to improve battery performance and safety standards without requiring a full app update. This service does not collect personal identifier data.
Firebase data is generally retained for 60 days to 14 months per standard Google Analytics retention policies. Because we have no account system — no login, no password, no user profile — we maintain no persistent user records. There is nothing to delete from Mac Real Studios’ systems. For Firebase or Google Play data, manage it through your Google Account settings.
Our applications integrate the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Mac Real Studios does not integrate advertising SDKs, data brokers, or social media tracking into our current products.
Strobe Light For Watch is a general-audience safety utility and does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at macrealstudios@gmail.com and we will address it promptly.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights related to your personal information. Since we collect minimal data and maintain no user profiles, most of these rights are satisfied by design.
Contact us at macrealstudios@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our products evolve. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users through our website or within the app. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions about this Privacy Policy, reach out directly. We are a small, independent studio and you will hear from us directly.
